Is Simplify Writing® aligned to Common Core, TEKS, or Florida B.E.S.T.? What about other states?

Our curriculum is aligned with Common Core because most state standards are based on it. However, we do have a crosswalk for Texas teachers to help align those standards to TEKS. The TEKS standards don't include as many of the more minute CCSS standards, but that works well with our program's focus on the "big picture".

We also have a crosswalk for Florida teachers to align the standards to Florida B.E.S.T. Nearly all of the Florida standards for writing, language, and communication are covered in our program.

As states release criteria for literacy curriculum, we are adding our evidence to this page. If your state has passed laws regarding literacy instruction, please click here to submit it to us. We will complete the evidence document and post it in 3-5 business days.
